Meeting Program: The speaker for tomorrow’s Rotary meeting (Wed, 11/4) is JT Gabriel. She will be speaking to us about “Canine Soldiers” and a Military Dog Museum that may locate in Flemington. She will be bringing a dog that has been awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor to the meeting. This is a regular lunch meeting at Copper Hill Country Club at 12:15pm.
Pancake Day Follow-Up Meeting (Wed, 11/4 at 1:30pm): Terry Ownes has called a follow-up meeting this Wed after the regular club meeting. The purpose is to discuss the event and note any constructive feedback. One thing was definitely apparent on Saturday; everyone had an excellent time!!!! Congratulations to Terry, Wayne, Lisa, the committee and the club on a job very well done!!!
Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony (Fri, 12/4): Dick Stothoff has announced that this year’s Christmas Tree will be cut down and delivered to Main Street on Sat, November 21. The actual Tree Lighting Ceremony will take place on Friday, 12/4. Rotarians that will be helping Santa Claus to handout candy canes and oranges to the attending children are asked to meet at 6:45pm behind the Deat’s Building in Flemington. Santa will be arriving at the Christmas Tree at approximately 7pm. Once the Tree Lighting Ceremony is over, everyone is invited to the annual After-Party at Dick & Priscilla Stothoff’s home!!!!
Rotary Holiday Party (Wed, 12/9 at 6:30pm): The Rotary Club of Flemington would like to warmly invite you and your spouse / guest to our annual holiday party. The party will be on Wed, December 9th at The Inn at The Lambertville Station located at 11 Bridge Street, Lambertville, NJ 08530 from 6:30 pm – 10:30 pm. The evening will include, hors devours, cash bar, gourmet dinner, desert, dancing and the wonderful Flemington Rotary Fellowship that makes us who we are. Cost is $25 per person for all members and spouses / guests.

Please note that the Lambertville Station requires a head count and no refunds will be offered. Therefore, members that RSVP will be responsible for the $25 per person cost in the event they are not able to later attend.
The regular noon club meeting on Wed, 12/9 has been canceled in lieu of the dinner.
Rotary United Nations Day (Sat, November 7, 2009): About 1,500 people, including Rotarians, Rotaract & Interact Members, and United Nations leaders, will attend the Rotary UN Day in New York City on November 7th. Organized by RI representatives to the UN, the day will feature panel discussions on water, literacy, health, and youth. Speakers from the United Nations, Rotary, and other non-governmental organizations will discuss humanitarian programs and provide insight into the more than 60-year relationship between Rotary and the UN. The program will also include a youth panel featuring a speaker from Interact and Rotaract, who will each present a 10-minute description of a hands-on international club projects. Eat, Drink & Share (Mon, November 9, 2009): The annual “Eat, Drink & Share” District Fundraiser will be held on Monday, November 9th from 6 to 9pm at The Pines Manor in Edison, NJ. Flemington Rotary has taken a table of (10) at the event. Please contact Jim Davidson if you are interested in attending. If more than (10) members or spouses are interested in going, additional tickets may be purchased for $50 in advance or $60 at the door. Proceeds from this event support the Humanitarian Efforts of The Rotary Foundation of Rotary International.
Soup Cook-Off Meeting (Wed, 11/18 @ 3pm): Bob Burgard has called the next meeting for the 2010 “3rd Annual” Hunterdon County Rotary Soup Cook-off on November 18 at 3 PM. The meeting will be held in Lisa Brady's office at Hunterdon Central Regional High School.
Flemington Rotary HATS – For Sale: Bob Burgard purchased (20) Royal Blue baseball hats with the Rotary International Logo embroidered onto them. Bob is selling these just to recover his costs of purchasing them, which is $10 per hat. Payment shall be directly to Bob Burgard as he bought these himself on a first come, first served basis.

2nd: Is it Fair to all concerned?
3rd: Will it build goodwill and better friendships?
4th: Will it be beneficial to all concerned?”
